      To consider our school another way, consider this:  If you…

3. dream of a calm, gentle environment where your child can comfortably learn,

then St. Thomas More may be a “fit” for your child.

With three children at the school myself, we were inspired to investigate St. Thomas More after the following encounter.  I had taken the children to lunch, and while we ate, suggested to them that we ask God for help with something.  When my oldest prayed, “Dear God, please help the girls at school be nicer to me and to each other,” I broke inwardly.  Having listened to my child come home with stories about running interference between warring bands of girls – in second grade, no less – this heartfelt prayer touched me deeply.  True, her school had many strengths, and many fine teachers, but she was getting a “second education” that I didn’t want her to receive; not yet. 

I began to look, and found an environment in Saint Thomas More that took this “second education” away and filled the space with love and joy.  Relieved of her anxiety, my child is free to experience every good thing that is offered to her at school.  Moving up a grade level for math, she is challenged academically; surrounded by wholesome friends, she is fulfilled socially; singing daily songs of praise, she is fed spiritually.  The school isn’t perfect; no school is.  However, I have found no better place to partner with me in the all-important development of my children.
