Catholic Schools Week 2021

Sun. 1/31 Parish Day - Students should wear their STMA uniforms if attending in person Mass this Sunday!

Mon. 2/1 Community Day – Students and staff will decorate their classroom doors in honor of Catholic
Schools Week and in celebration of our STMA community. As a service project for our larger community,
students have been donating supplies for babies and parents in need throughout January. We will pack up and
deliver these baby supply donations and deliver them to Birthright of Frederick after dismissal. This is also the
day we will celebrate the feast of St. John Bosco. All Bosco House students may dress out of uniform on 2/1.

Tue. 2/2 Dies Pulli (Day of the Chicken) - To tie in with our St. Thomas More identity and the
three roosters on our school crest, students and teachers will get in touch with their inner
chicken. We can dress like chickens (think chicken hats, suits, etc.) We will provide lunch for
all students and we’ll do the “Chicken Dance” plus play fun chicken games during P.E.

Wed. 2/3 Nation Day – Our prayers will be for our country. All students may dress out of
uniform this day and wear red, white, and blue in honor of our great nation.

Thu. 2/4 Vocations Day – We will pray for all vocations and have a special presentation for students.

Fri. 2/5 Faculty and Staff Day – It’s the first Friday of the month, so we’ll stream Mass in the morning and
school will dismiss at 12:00 pm. Teachers will have professional development from 12:30 to 3:30.

Sat. 2/6 Family Day – We ask that families do a fun activity together if possible. Celebrate each other with a
special meal and pray to the Holy Family, asking for their intercession and protection.
